808 Studios is a photography studio in Dayton Ohio that is well known in the community for fun, fresh images and unique personalized service.  Photographers Nick O'Donnell and Lauren Whitacre have received numerous awards and recognition for their work including 2006, 2007 and 2008 Wedding Album of the year, 2008 Photographer of the year and made the Knot magazine's best of list for 2008 and 2009.  But, by far, we are best known for our happy customers! I'm Nick - I founded 808 Studios photography well over a decade ago - I know you're saying 'You don't look that old!' But I'm actually 29.  I started shooting professionally at 16 for some local newspapers doing community work and local news and sporting events.  I fell in love with telling stories though photos and when I was hired at 17 to shoot my first wedding I knew I was hooked for life. I've been shooting weddings ever since!  Through all the change I've seen in the industry and all the change Ive seen in my own life the one constant I have always had was the passion for delivering creative, fun, and unique images.  There is truly nothing else in the world I could ever imagine doing.  Photographing for my customers is my entire life and I put everything I have into making sure your wedding is the best day it can possibly be.  I have lived in the Dayton area all my life and graduated from Fairmont High School in 1998 where I was involved in the start of an advanced photography course that is still running today.  I recently founded a scholarship program for Kettering City Schools for a student in that advanced photo course who wants to achieve a degree in photography, and I actually hired last years recipient of the scholarship to come shoot weddings with us.  I live in West Chester with the sunshine of my life, My fiance Heather.  Were getting married next spring, and really looking forward to our future together.  We just adopted our first dog, Augie, and she's absolutely adorable!

Lauren Whitacre started at 808 Studios Photography almost a few years back as an assistant to Nick but after quickly proving herself she was given the job of Image production manager.  This year Lauren has moved up to shooting weddings with her own assistant and Nick could not be more proud of how far she has come.  Lauren lives with her family in Bellbrook and has one of the cutest dogs on the planet - Jonah bear.
